NativeWoodnotes Wild – 101 Sonnets

Synopsis: A sonnet is like a song of words. The music is in the metre, rhyme, and meaning. They are a bit like little windows into the soul of the poet and his muses – the inspiration from which is perhaps personal, yet also universal. It could be said the general but not inclusive theme of these sonnets, is love: its exultation, pain, delusion, loss, celebration, desire, beauty and other anecdotes. Sonnets should be read easily almost as if they just appeared, in the sense that they have no author or precondition; they just arrive from the elements effortlessly, or so it would seem. In fact, a sonnet may take years to finish writing – a labor of love if you will. And so over the years a collection emerges. May the reader set forth and discover his or her own experience.
